The Global America Business Institute has been periodically convening a high-level multinational dialogue on
opportunities for international cooperation in nuclear energy since 2012. Although this forum initially began
as a platform to discuss primarily spent nuclear fuel management issues among the U.S., Korea, and Japan, in
recent years, the dialogue has rapidly evolved to include additional country representatives and address a
broader set of subjects, including potential for cooperation in advanced nuclear R&D, export financing,
institutional development in third-country markets, and other areas. Although previous meetings were held
in-person, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2021 meeting will be held virtually.
