The US-Korea bilateral partnership has long been a cornerstone of international nuclear cooperation and has far-reaching international implications. Russia dominates the nuclear reactor export market accounting for 70% of reactor exports globally with 13 projects underway or nearing completion. The project goals for the GABI-Mirae-KNA seminars are to develop cooperation strategies between the two countries on nuclear technology exports while reducing the risk of nuclear proliferation by state and non-state actors. Participants will work to identify the issues hindering global partnerships, explore practical solutions to those issues, and propose a feasible cooperation model.
