Savannah River Site (SRS) and Vogtle Power Plant

GABI, FAS, and Mansfield hosted Meeting 2 of the Trilateral Nuclear Energy Dialogue in Augusta, Georgia. The program included site visits to the nearby Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (or Plant Vogtle) and the Savannah River Site (SRS), home to the Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL). Meeting sessions concentrated topics such as plant and interim storage, long-term waste management and geological disposal, decontamination and decommissioning, and the nexus of nuclear power and nonproliferation.
