Renewable Energy Policies and Technologies: Collaborative Opportunities Between the United States and Korea
May 15, 2013

In partnership with the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) and the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), GABI organized a workshop on collaborative opportunities between the US and South Korea on renewable energy policies and technologies. For both the US and ROK, renewable energy is seen as one of the means to address air pollution and carbon emissions. However, for renewable energy to reach its full potential, not only will further development of renewable energy technologies be required, but policy optimization in both countries will be necessary. The workshop reviewed the current status of clean and renewable energy policies in both states, and also did an overview of present trends in renewable technology development in the US, South Korea, and the rest of the world.
