However, the private<br \/>\nsector and corporate entities are also projected to be a major driver for<br \/>\nthe deployment of DG solar.<br \/>\nStates with a limited history in clean energy deployment are now seeing<span class=\"im\"><br \/>\nlegislation pass that supports the deployment of distributed clean energy<br \/>\n<\/span>generation. An example of this is the Virginia Clean Energy Act (VCEA),<br \/>\nthrough which advanced solar and distributed generation, as well as net<br \/>\nmetering, are showing growth in a state that had previously been seen as<span class=\"im\"><br \/>\nfalling behind in renewable portfolio standards.
