As more countries and companies invest in different technologies, energy storage will play a prominent role due to its size, zoning requirements, and its ability to be versatile in a dynamic energy system. Challenges to fully incorporating energy storage will depend on regulatory bodies and whether utilities are willing to risk greater deployment.
