In partnership with the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER), the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE), Hunton & Williams LLP, the Republic of Korea Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the Republic of Korea Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), and the Republic of Korea Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP), GABI hosted a large two-day event on international collaboration in green and renewable energy.
On June 19th, the first day of the event series kicked off with a workshop on the “US-Korea Clean Energy Partnership: Technical Approaches and Solutions,” which was held at Hunton & Williams LLP. The event on the 19th featured presentations by US experts, Korean ministry officials, and KIER researchers on various topics, such as renewable energy, energy efficiency measures, and carbon capture and sequestration (CCS). On the following day, a special program for foreign missions was held at the Republic of Korea Embassy, featuring technical and policy discussions on clean and renewable energy deployment and avenues for international cooperation in these areas.
