Following their joint workshop on “Overcoming Challenges to Increasing Integration and Deployment of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Technologies,” GABI and the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to continue their joint work on green and renewable energy policy and green energy technology R&D policy. Furthermore, GABI facilitated a Statement of Intent to Agree (IA) signing between KIER and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) on the exploration of potential joint R&D areas. KIER President Ki-Woo Lee signed the GABI-KIER MOU with GABI President Florence Lowe-Lee, while the KIER-NREL IA was signed between President Lee and Dr. Bryan Hannegan from NREL.
