Energy Storage: Current Issues & Developments
September 09, 2015
Energy storage promises to shake the very foundations of how energy is transmitted and distributed in the United States and globally. As more countries and companies invest in different technologies, energy storage will play a prominent role due to its size, zoning requirements, and its ability to be versatile in a dynamic energy system. Challenges to fully incorporating energy storage will depend on regulatory bodies and whether utilities are willing to risk greater deployment. Enabling greater deployment will require policy makers, financiers, and industry to make policy and technology changes that properly value energy storage.
